1914-S Barber Dime AG3 Type collectors know the 1914-S Barber Dime AG3 never goes out of demand, and this example is a worthwhile addition to any set. Struck at the San Francisco Mint, it fills a specific date-and-mint slot in the Barber series that many collectors pursue by year and branch mint. The obverse carries Charles E.

Barber’s Liberty head, while the reverse displays the familiar wreath. At 90 percent silver, the piece carries tangible value beyond its face denomination and gives the set a real precious-metal component. Because the Barber design was the last Liberty-head dime before the Mercury type arrived, collectors building a complete 20th-century dime run often include the 1914-S to bridge the two eras.
